Even when you are inside, you feel nature.
All around you can enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains.

Outside
You don’t go to Norway to sit inside… Outdoor living is part of the Norwegians’ way of life, regardless of the weather.
Hot or cold, brilliant or not so brilliant weather, Norwegians always enjoy outdoor living.
At our vacation home in Medby you can live perfectly outdoors during the summer months.
We have built a large, covered terrace with an outdoor fireplace, heat lamp, sitting area, table, Scandinavian chairs and a Jacuzzi.
Even if it is chilly and raining, you can sit here perfectly outside and enjoy the surroundings.
From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the sea, which is only 25 meters away.
The coastline consists of giant, level boulders on which you can enjoy the weather or easily step into the sea for a refreshing swim after the sauna.
Behind the cabin towering mountains offer a breathtaking backdrop.

Medby is a picturesque village located on the island of Senja in northern Norway. Located on the west coast of Senja, Medby is surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty that characterizes this region. The village is set against a backdrop of dramatic mountains, including the famous Segla Peak, which offers incredible hiking opportunities and panoramic views of the island and the Norwegian Sea.
North of Medby you will find the beautiful Ånderdalen National Park, a nature lover’s paradise with its rich biodiversity, serene lakes and lush forests. The coastline around Medby is rugged and scenic, perfect for exploring rocky shores and quiet coves. This part of Senja is also known for its picturesque fjords, which offer spectacular views and opportunities for boating and fishing.
Medby’s location makes it an excellent place to experience the Northern Lights in winter and the Midnight Sun in summer. The secluded and quiet setting offers a peaceful escape from the busier tourist spots, while still providing easy access to some of Senja’s most iconic natural attractions.
Medby is about 200 kilometers from Tromsø airport and about 100 kilometers from Bardufoss airport. From Tromsø you can take the express boat to Finnsnes, from where it is a short drive to Medby. Whether you come to hike, fish or just relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, Medby is a destination that showcases the best of Northern Norway’s coastal charm.

During the winter months, Senja turns into a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. With excellent opportunities for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing, the island is a favorite among snow lovers. Moreover, it is a great place to admire the northern lights.
